As with most theatre majors, I have experience acting as well! While I have experience in most areas of acting, I find that my expertise lies within comedic acting.

Below I have included a few photos from relatively recent productions. Since I consider myself more of a playwright, acting typically takes the back burner when it comes to theatrical involvement.

Murder Mysteries

Alpha Sigma Alpha murder mysteries

Murder Mysteries were things that I kind of started doing for fun.
They started out with my sorority for a sisterhood event, when the sisterhood chairman expressed interest in potentially finding a murder mystery script to use. I had never written one before, but it sounded like a fun challenge. We made them all sorority related so that all the women participating would understand the lingo and relationships. It quickly became the favorite sorority event.

Alpha psi omega murder mysteries

During my time at Emporia State University, in addition to being a member of Alpha Sigma Alpha, I was also a member of the theatre honor society, Alpha Psi Omega. The year following me starting murder mysteries with my sorority, we began the tradition of doing them as a yearly fundraiser for a different local charity. I wrote the first year’s murder mystery, and produced the second year’s. The tradition is still being continued to this day.

During my time at Emporia State University, I grew to find a love of special effects makeup.
I still try to find time to dabble in SFX makeup and grow that skill.
